Steven DeAngelo, Principal

My name is Steve DeAngelo and I am happy to say that I will be serving as the new Principal of the Remote Learning Academy.  For those of you I know personally, I look forward to working closely with you once again.  For those of you I have not yet met, I sincerely welcome the opportunity to get to know you as we continue to move the RLA forward together. 

I have had the privilege to work with the students and families of Fairfield for more than 15 years as a teacher, Dean and administrator. The RLA has a very solid foundation, and now I am excited to work with you and your child as we set forth into 2021 to meet the challenges of remote teaching and learning head on.

Academic progress is obviously very important to me, as is the social-emotional wellness of your child. My aim is to provide a positive home-school connection and to continue to foster a strong sense of community within the RLA. Even though our school is not made of brick and mortar in the tradition sense, the education of our students is the tie that bonds us. Feel free to contact me at any time, as we become partners in your child’s education. The work we will do together is making history and will truly help shape the future.
