A Message From Superintendent Michael J. Testani: We Are Here To Help - Supporting Our Students

Dear Families,
As we settle into the new school year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the many challenges our students may face as they navigate their academic and social lives. School can be an exciting time, full of opportunities and growth, but it can also bring about stress, pressure, and emotional strain for some children. Whether your child is struggling with schoolwork, dealing with anxiety or peer pressure, or just adjusting to the demands of a new grade level, it’s important to know that they are not alone, and neither are you.

Our dedicated team of school counselors and support staff are always available to assist students with their needs, whether it’s academic guidance, emotional support, or simply having someone to talk to. We encourage students to reach out whenever they need help navigating the pressures of school life. At the same time, please do not hesitate to contact school staff to share any concerns regarding changes in routines or behavior, important life events, or other circumstances that could affect your child’s mental health.

In addition to our in-person support, we have a variety of resources available on the FPS website to help your child thrive. I encourage you to visit the Wellness & Resources section where you’ll find information on social emotional academic support, mental health resources, community services, and tips for encouraging responsible online habits. These resources are designed to provide guidance and reassurance to both students and families as we work together to ensure a positive and healthy school experience.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your school principal if you have any questions or need further assistance. We are here to partner with you in making this year a successful and fulfilling one for your child.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Michael J. Testani
