Welcome Superintendent Michael J. Testani

Dear Fairfield Public Schools Families & Staff,

It is an honor to officially join Fairfield Public Schools as your superintendent. I have been eager to get started on this exciting journey and will work diligently to strengthen our district and build an inclusive, supportive and forward-thinking learning environment for all.

In the past months, I have met with members of the district leadership team and Dr. Tracy to ensure a smooth transition. I’d like to thank Dr. Tracy for all he has done for the district as interim superintendent and wish him well.

Being a Fairfield resident, I have enjoyed meeting so many wonderful families over the years. As we embark on the implementation of the District Improvement Plan, I look forward to working collaboratively with community members and stakeholders.

Across the district, students are engaging in exciting experiences and opportunities that promote a passion for learning. We have much to be proud of! I am also aware of the many challenges we face as a district. Academic excellence and the mental health of our students following the pandemic are top priorities, as is providing our staff with meaningful professional learning.

I truly believe that FPS and our students are positioned for future success, and I look forward to the important work that we will achieve together.
