Welcome Frank Magneri, Executive Director of Finance and Business

Fairfield Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Frank Magneri as the new executive director of finance and business, effective December 17, 2025. With a strong background in public administration and public finance, including roles as budget director for the Town of Fairfield and director of the office of policy and management for the City of Bridgeport, Mr. Magneri brings a wealth of financial insight and expertise to the district. 

In his new role, Mr. Magneri will oversee the district’s financial operations to strengthen the resources and supports available to every student. 

Mr. Magneri joins Fairfield Public Schools from his most recent position as director of the office of policy and management for the City of Bridgeport, where he developed the City’s $644 million operating budget and managed the budget process from inception to completion. He also supported grant reporting and monitoring efforts across departments.
 
Previously, Mr. Magneri served as budget director for the Town of Fairfield, overseeing the Town’s $350 million operating budget and the budgets of other self-supporting funds. In this position, he actively contributed to the development and financial analysis of the annual budget across all departments.
 
Mr. Magneri holds a Master of Public Administration from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy and a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Public Administration from the University at Albany. He also completed a Certificate in Accounting from Fairfield University and is a licensed CPA.
