National Principals Month - October 2025

Dear FPS Families,

National Principals Month

October 1 marks the start of National Principals Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the leaders at the heart of our schools. Our principals may not wear capes, but they are superheroes in every sense of the word. Each day, they take on the responsibility of creating safe, welcoming, and thriving learning environments for all students.

Principals are often the first to arrive and the last to leave. They go above and beyond to connect with families, support teachers, and make thoughtful decisions that put students first. They listen carefully to the needs of their staff and community, balancing countless priorities while keeping their focus on what matters most: ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

This October, I invite you to join me in showing gratitude for our principals. Their dedication, compassion, and leadership strengthen our schools and inspire us all.

Thank you, principals, for your tireless commitment to the Fairfield Public Schools community.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Testani

Superintendent of Schools

To celebrate National Principals Month, we asked our elementary and middle school students what their principals do every day, and gave our high school students some fun questions too. Throughout the month of October, we will be featuring all of our FPS principals and showing off the everyday superheroes who help make our schools amazing!
