FAIRFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION OPENS JANUARY 6, 2025 FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR

The administration, faculty and staff of Fairfield Public Schools are excited to welcome incoming 2025-2026 kindergarten students.

Fairfield Public Schools offers full-day kindergarten for all students who turn five by September 1, 2025. If your child is four years old but will turn five before January 1, 2026, the child is ineligible to apply directly for admission to kindergarten in the 2025-26 school year. However, parents/guardians may request an early admissions waiver and assessment for children who are 4 years old upon entry but will turn 5 before January 1, 2026.This change in kindergarten entrance occurred due to legislation enacted in 2023. Kindergarten registration takes place at Central Office, located at 501 Kings Highway East, Suite 210. Prior to meeting with the registrar, families should visit the district website. Once online pre-registration is complete, families can reserve an appointment via the online appointment scheduler. The full-day kindergarten schedule consists of five full days of school (8:55 AM - 3:30 PM except Holland Hill, 8:10 AM - 2:45 PM) Monday through Friday starting on the first day of school.
