Budget Graphic

We are thrilled to announce that on Tuesday night, the Fairfield Board of Education passed the 2025-26 school budget of $234,932,226 — a critical investment in our students, educators, and school infrastructure. This budget reflects our commitment to academic excellence, student well-being, and responsible financial planning.

Key Investments in Our Schools:

✅ Supporting Outstanding Educators

  • Competitive salaries to attract and retain top teachers

✅ Enhancing Student Learning

  • Curriculum upgrades, including new textbooks for World Language courses
  • Gifted & Talented Program expansion

✅ Improving School Infrastructure

  • Safety and accessibility improvements: Elevator maintenance at Fairfield Ludlowe High School, fire safety upgrades at Roger Ludlowe Middle School
  • HVAC upgrades at Burr Elementary and other schools

✅ Investing in Technology

  • Music lab enhancements for high school students
  • Cost-efficient IT budget management, keeping technology investments 10% below the five-year average

✅ Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility

  • Despite rising costs in special education, transportation, and utilities, we’ve implemented smart operational efficiencies—such as energy savings programs and in-district special education services—to reduce expenses while continuing to support student success.

Fairfield Public Schools remain a top-performing district, with over 91% of students pursuing higher education and five schools recently earning Schools of Distinction honors. This budget ensures we continue to provide an outstanding education while being fiscally responsible to our community.

We are grateful for the support of our Board of Education and the Fairfield community as we invest in the future of our students.
