Welcome to the FPS WiFi Connection Hub! This guide will help you connect your personal devices to our network and troubleshoot common connection issues. Whether you're using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop, you'll find step-by-step instructions below.

Understanding Our WiFi Networks

πŸ–₯️ FPS WiFi & Chrome - Used for District Devices

FPS_WiFi: Used for all District Devices (Laptops, Desktops, etc)
FPS_Chrome: Exclusively for district-issued Chromebooks—auto-configured

πŸ“± FPS BYOD - Used for Privately-Owned Devices

For student and staff personal phones, tablets, and laptops—login with your district login credentials. See below troubleshooting guides on how to connect each device type.

Important Note: Please refer to our "Use of Technological Devices" policy when connecting to our network

🌐 FPS_Guest (Emergency & Public Access)

Password: Guest0413

Dual Purpose: Public access for visitors AND automatic WiFi recovery for all district devices. If any district device loses its WiFi connection, connecting to FPS_Guest will automatically restore the correct network settings.

Connecting Personal Devices to FPS_BYOD

  1. Open your device's WiFi settings and select FPS_BYOD
  2. When the splash page appears, enter your District Username and Password
  3. You're connected!

πŸ’‘ Note: You'll need to sign in each time you connect a new device, but your device should remember the network after the initial setup.

πŸ”„ Re-Authentication Required: For security purposes, you will need to re-authenticate every 60 days. Simply reconnect to FPS_BYOD and enter your credentials again when prompted.

Troubleshooting Tips by Device Type

Apple iPhone/iPad

  • After selecting FPS_BYOD, the splash page should appear automatically
  • If it doesn't appear, open Safari and try to visit any website—this should trigger the login page
  • Make sure "Auto-Join" is enabled for FPS_BYOD in your WiFi settings for easier reconnection

Android Android

  • The splash page notification should appear in your notification bar after connecting
  • If you don't see it, open Chrome and navigate to any website to trigger the login page
  • Some Android devices may show a "Sign in to network" notification—tap it to access the splash page

Windows 10 Windows 10 Laptop

  • After selecting FPS_BYOD, a browser window should open automatically with the splash page
  • If it doesn't, open your browser and try to visit any website
  • Ensure your browser isn't blocking pop-ups, as this can prevent the splash page from appearing

Windows 11 Windows 11 Laptop

  • The splash page should appear automatically after connecting to FPS_BYOD
  • If it doesn't, open Microsoft Edge or your preferred browser and navigate to any website
  • Check that your network is set to "Public" rather than "Private" in your WiFi settings

Apple Mac Computer

  • After joining FPS_BYOD, the splash page should open automatically in your default browser
  • If it doesn't appear, open Safari and try to visit any website
  • Go to System Settings > Network > WiFi > Details (next to FPS_BYOD) and ensure "Auto-join" is enabled
