Chromebook Insurance Letter

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Fairfield Public Schools is pleased to offer you a protection plan for your grade 3-12 child’s Chromebook or laptop. The annual fee is $30 for a Chromebook and $50 for a laptop, and will cover two incidents of damage, including loss. Damage to a Chromebook could be a cracked screen, a keyboard with missing keys, or other issues. Insurance enrollment is scheduled to begin September 1, 2023, and end October 1, 2023.

Please review the terms in the insurance document and plan details on our website here:

Should you select to purchase insurance, please look in the Fees section of Infinite Campus where you will see this optional fee at the bottom of the screen and can select it.

We accept debit and credit cards, as well as ACH (electronic check) payments.

Should you prefer to pay by physical check, please send it in an envelope to your child’s school main office with the envelope labeled Chromebook insurance. Please include your child’s name and homeroom on the envelope. NO cash payments will be accepted.

As the year progresses, if your child turns in their device with a problem that requires a repair, and you have the insurance, you will see that charge on your fees account assessed at $0.00 so you can track the use of the two covered incidents.

If you do not select to purchase the insurance, the fees for damage to the device will be charged to you which will be visible in Infinite Campus parent portal fees section, and you will be required to reimburse the district for the expense associated with the repair. (Repair costs are listed in the insurance coverage document).

All fees will be required to be paid by the end of each term.

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to secure coverage for your child’s school chromebook or laptop.

If you have questions or difficulty accessing the fees, please email
