Ancient Roman Structures

A 6th grade Social Studies Assignment

So much of what we know about the Ancient Romans today, comes from the structures they left behind. Even after 2000 years, many of the buildings still stand as a monument to the ingenuity and hard work of their creators. Did you know that the Romans were the first to consistently use baked brick, concrete and arches in their construction?

Your assignment:
1. Research as much as you can about your assigned structure(s) using the links below and the books provided.

2. Create a poster that includes information from your research and a detailed drawing of your structure(s).

3. From the Resources List copy and paste the websites you used into a Works Cited List. Add any books or other websites you used in your research. Paste the Works Cited list to the back of your poster.
