CLICKING AND POINTING THROUGH

Open You Are What You Eat by clicking on the burger
- Close
the help menu (It may ‘help’ to read it first!)
- The
screen will be open to the #1 screen “About Me”
- Enter
your personal information. Don’t
select the energy analyzer unless you have extra time.
- Questions? Go to the ? mark or open file – what to
do or the help menu.
- After
completing “About Me” go to the top bars and open #2 “Foods I Ate”
- From
your food record, enter the first food item where the cursor is
- Click
on Search the Data Base. Your food
or something similar will appear on the list.
- Select
a food in the list and click on it.
A food selection box will appear.
- You
will have a choice of serving sizes.
Choose the amount you think comes closest to what you consumed and
how many servings you had.
- Choose
which time of day you consumed this and if applicable, which day.
- Click
on Add This Food
- Enter
all the food and beverages you consumed for one day.

Open #3 “Analyze”
- Select
the Analysis Mode you wish to observe (usually a single day).
- Choose
the nutrient you wish to sort by (usually kilocalories).
- Open
#4 “Printouts” and select analysis critique.
- Use
this information to make a balanced day of meals on the food pyramid.
- Write
clearly and be sure to include the correct number of servings.
- Use
what you have learned to fill out the back of the page.
- Put
your name on everything!
